Optimal Testing of Systems with CTD/TNT

Number of badges issued: 11

The badge earner will have a broad understanding of CTD (Combinatorial Test Design) and how to apply the modeling techniques to their testing space. They will understand where and when to use these practices and howto access and use the FoCuS Tool. They will then be able to apply what they have learned to generate test programs using the TNT tooling to bring their ability to test computer systems to the next level. They will understand how to annotate a concrete test program with TNT syntax.

Education Experience

Complete the Combinatorial Test Design (CTD) Education for testing computer systems.

Project

Complete a CTD project. Pick a project to model and perform the following tasks: Download the FoCuS Tool; Identify Attributes, value and constraints for your testing space; Enter data into the FoCuS tool; Perform the test reduction; Export the results into a .csv file.

Project

Based on the testing space that was modeled in the CTD exercise, create a test program template. Use the guidelines and examples that were used as part of the your Learning education. Pick the language that you want to create test program template. Determine if you will be coding up validation of the tests as part of the template.
